Why become a volunteer?

We welcome volunteers from all over the world who have an interest in organic horticulture. As a volunteer you need to have a willingness to learn from our staff and plenty of energy to work as part of our team. You will gain experience in a varied Organic horticultural environment from vegetable and seed cultivation to Orchard maintenance and propagation. Most importantly, you will be helping us in our work promoting the use of our plant genetic resources.

Volunteer sessions 2010,Tuesdays 2pm-4pm and Thursdays 11am-1pm. Volunteer projects can include: flower planting, seedsowing, garden preparation, weeding, mulching, planting and polytunnel work when it's raining we also are wanting to put in a new pond and later in the year there will be seed harvesting ; please fill out the form below and we can send you more information or just turn up eager, willing and able!

Work Placement

Work placement students are also very welcome here at Irish Seed Savers. If you are looking for work placement as part of your course at any institution nationally or internationally please contact us.
