Ireland's Future: A people's forum

‘Awaken Ireland’, a voluntary group of concerned people based in Cork, is hosting a retreat weekend forum for individuals and groups nationwide, to explore the following question…

What is the best way forward for Ireland?

And how can we make it happen?

We have arranged this forum for concerned people and activists from all over Ireland, young and old, from a range of different projects, groups and causes to pool ideas about how we can realistically get Ireland back on a sensible path. What’s happening to us is blatantly unjust; condemned to austerity, our national assets being sold off and privatised, all to refund the gambling debts of wealthy bondholders.

We don’t have to put up with this. We don’t have to put up with politicians who sell us out in this way. We all share these concerns – now let’s share our ideas. We believe there is surely a way for the people of Ireland to take back control over our own destiny. We will have exclusive use of the comfortable and secluded Boghill Centre, where we can all focus on viable alternatives and solutions. We will have the benefit of Art of Hosting facilitators, who are highly skilled in helping groups to creatively reach their full potential.

All of us involved in hosting this event, including the facilitators, are doing so on an entirely voluntary basis, out of concern for Ireland’s future. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to take part in changing our future. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!
