Was launched last week, and we’re delighted to report that we’ve had lots of interest already. The initiative is aimed at promoting awareness and encouraging people to visit the sites of scientific interest in their area. The atlas has categories of Astronomy, Engineering, Gardens and Botany, Geology and Earth Science and Wildlife and Natural History.
The atlas features our chosen “top 10″ places for astronomy, engineering, wildlife, science, geology and botany: http://atlas.ingeniousireland.ie/index.php
You can read the press release here: http://ingeniousireland.ie/category/press-release/
I do hope you’ll check it out.
If we can get funding for phase 2, we will develop the site so that everyone can add their favourite places. If you subscribe to our newsletter, or follow us on FB or Twitter, we’ll let you know when that’s ready.
