Recommended seeds for winter planting

Can you recommend any seeds that would produce winter salads or veg over the winter.

If you  have a raised bed in your garden or have set one up in your  school, try these:

Overwintering salads are:

salad rocket, winter purslane, corn salad and some hardier lettuces and endive. The problem though is that they should have been sowed in August, early September at the latest to be transplanted before mid October.

Overwintering vegs would be swedes, leeks, kales and cabbages but for those the sowing date would go back as far as March. At this stage the one thing that would definitely work is garlic, or else you will need to find plants ready for transplanting as it is too late for seeds in my opinion, unless you have a glasshouse or polytunnel.
